Last weekend Jeff and I had the chance to sneak away for a little get-away! We left Friday night and stayed at a wonderful Bed & Breakfast right by the beach. It was soo nice and relaxing. Friday night we grabbed dinner and then rode bikes down by the beach. It was a beautiful sunset and great weather.
One of the things I was looking forward to most was sleeping in on Saturday since we wouldn't have Laynie with us...naturally, I woke up at 6:30...wide awake. SOO frusterating! That's ok though, it was a beautiful morning and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast hosted by the owner of the place we were staying. After breakfast we rode bikes down to the beach again and did a little hiking/exploring!
First off we hoofed it to the top of a dune (by stairs..not sand :) to see the lake. Sadly, it was super foggy but we still had fun.

We walked the pier as well, but again, too foggy to really see much.
We spent the afternoon strolling through some shops and enjoying a yummy lunch and then headed back home. Sadly, we were met with a huge to-do list, but we still really enjoyed the weekend. Our yard and kitchen are coming right along! Seems like all of our extra time is spent on house and yard work but I keep reminding myself that in a few weeks it wil be done and then we can just enjoy it all!
Well, untill we start on the nursery that is. :)
