My sister is moving away next week.

Thinking about it leaves me with a tight feeling in my chest that can't be descibed.
My stomach starts to sink at the thought and slowly a sadness creeps in that can't be avoided no matter how excited I am for them.

It is the type of sadness that makes me want to curl up and cry...really, really hard.

But I havn't...not yet anyways.
I didn't cry at either of her going away partys and most likely won't even cry when I finally hug her goodbye.  I know that this doesn't make her feel unloved.  She knows as well as I do that the first time Laynie asks for her will be my breaking point.  If I make it from now till next Tuesday with no tears, it will be no indicator of the pain I will feel once she is gone.
She gets this..because she gets me.

It reminds me of coming down with a bad cold.  You go on and on ignoring the symptoms, saying you feel fine and trying to soak up every last minute of health and vitality because you know that in a few days you are going to feel down right awful.
And in a few days, I probably will feel awful..and it will hurt.  But for now, we are going to keep on soaking her up.

P.S- Pics are from Nick and Audrey's going away party at my rents the night before we left for the cottage.

P.P.S- I really am happy for them.  Don't let my late night, hormonal pregnancy post fool you.
